From planting to harvesting

Unmanned aerial systems (UAS) are transforming modern forestry. Today, UAVs are used for a wide range of forest management tasks, including:

Stock inventory: Our drones are used to quickly collect data about the stand, such as species distribution, timber volume, tree height, DBM (diameter breast height), tree number, size and age. This information can be used to quickly make decision on valuation, planting, land preparation, thinning, harvesting, forest regeneration and other issues.
Management: Our UAV platforms also help monitor forests and identify potential problems, such as infestations from insect pests like the Spruce Bark Beetle as well as fungal attacks from e.g. Thrips, Diplodia and other diseases.
Planning: We also inspect new forests and are a valuable tool for producing height models for e.g. planting maps.
