For Länsförsäkringar Värmland drone technology became a way to address forest owners' concerns with speed, precision and transparency.
Being able to use drone technology in our damage assessment allows us to work both faster and more accurately, improving our management and ensuring a fair damage assessment. At the same time, we can give our customers a better overview of the damage situation in their forest.
A new way of looking at damage
In spring 2024, the Länsförsäkringar Värmland us at Copture. They were faced with a common but challenging situation: multiple claims from forest owners after severe weather, but limited ability to quickly get an overall picture of the situation.
Together, we created a way of working that allowed us to quickly fly over the affected areas using our nationwide pilot network. With high-resolution orthophotos and georeferenced markings, the damage could be verified objectively and in detail - and both Länsförsäkringar and the customer got a clear overview.
